CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on bodywork treatment that stimulates the body’s capacity to heal. The goal is to release compression in the cranialsacral system, which includes the connective tissues, spine, sacrum, cranium and membranes. CST is increasingly used as an assessment, corrective and preventive technique for its ability to decrease stress and pain from migraine headaches, joint, neck and back pain and much more. Leigh works with both adult and pediatric clients. She uses Pediatric CranioSacral Therapy to minimize or eliminate the repercussions of a difficult birth or akward inutero positioning. It is normal for the baby’s cranial bones to override each other to fit through the mother’s pelvis during the birth process. If after birth, accommodations in the baby's skull persist, tension in the tissue and membranes may interfere with function leading to colic, poor suck swallow coordination, latch problems, digestive or sensory-motor impairments and more. CST can address these issues as well as the effects of precipitous or prolonged labor, vacuum extraction, and forceps or cesarean birth.

Leigh conducts gentle assessments and corrects the source of pain and dysfunction using gentle manual techniques. She adapts her techniques to the capacity and needs of the patient. Clients rest fully clothed on a massage table, infants may be in her lap or their parent's lap. Children can sit, crawl, walk, stand or play with toys on the floor during treatment.
